About Nie
On Saturday, August 16, 2008, Stephanie Nielson was in a plane crash with her husband, Christian Nielson, and his flight instructor, Doug Kinnear, near St. Johns, Arizona. Doug Kinnear passed away soon after arriving at the Maricopa County Hospital.
Christian & Stephanie remain in critical condition at Maricopa Burn Center. Christian has sustained burns on over 30% of his body. His wife Stephanie’s body was burned over 80%.
Nie’s sister has taken in her children, helping raise them while Nie and Christian prepare to fight the long battle ahead.
Bloggers have united to help Nie’s family – raising money to help with medical bills. There are many silent auctions being sponsored on blogs by crafters, artists, companies, etc.

I get bored so easily and am a very fickle crafter. I have dabbled in just about everything – beading, decoupage, sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, painting, drawing, scrapbooking, etc, You get the picture – this results in many half finished projects. The only thing I have “stuck” with is beading.
Oh, and depending on what mood I am in I may get a wild hair to make something out of the blue. I have recently picked up drawing after a 20 year sabbatical and have a few pictures framed and displayed. Most of my stuff never even makes it to completion. It just sits there half finished. Which is why I LOVE quick and easy things to make. This requires a lot of supplies. and a lot of storage
